Dr. James Tan brings 32 years of medical experience and over 14 years of senior medical director experience to his role as the `Ohana senior medical director. In this position, Dr. Tan assumes responsibility for the performance of `Ohana's health services and pharmacy operations. He oversees all quality management, care management, health and wellness, and is responsible for network contracting strategy.

Carolyn Saiki brings over 19 years of human resources experience to her role as the `Ohana Director of Human Resources. In this position, Ms. Saiki provides human resources leadership to support and facilitate associate recruiting, retention and development. She also provides guidance and motivation to help staff achieve organizational goals.

Gregory Kono brings over 10 years of health care experience to his role as the `Ohana director of compliance and regulatory affairs. In this position, Mr. Kono manages new Medicaid market initiatives and provides oversight and leadership for government relations, state regulatory affairs and community outreach. 

Prior to joining `Ohana, Mr. Kono worked for Inland Empire Health Plan, a not-for-profit HMO in San Bernardino, CA that provides health care to Medicaid, Medicare and Healthy Families beneficiaries in the two largest counties in California - Riverside and San Bernardino. He has held positions as a compliance analyst and succeeded to senior compliance manager. His work experience also includes service for a cardiology medical group in Southern California and as an administrative intern at both the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center and Loma Linda University Health Care.

Mr. Kono was born and raised on Oahu. He is an alumnus of the Hawaiian Mission Academy in Honolulu. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Health Care Administration from Loma Linda University.

Ka'ili Honbo brings over 15 years of insurance industry experience to her role as the `Ohana Senior Medicare Sales Manager. In this position, Ms. Honbo is responsible for driving Medicare sales, marketing and business development activities in Hawai`i. She is involved in the planning and implementation of marketing strategies to secure new business and acts as an `Ohana liaison for new and existing clients as well as for service providers and corporate partners. Ms. Honbo oversees the organization's sales structure and is focused on member and provider services as well as community awareness of `Ohana product and service offerings throughout Hawai`i.

Rida Ching brings over 20 years of management experience in medical social services to her role as the `Ohana manager of service coordination. In this position, Ms. Ching assumes responsibility for coordination of member services and provides oversight and leadership for the `Ohana team assigned to help members with plan management.

"This position allows me to take all of my marketing, promotional and community organizational skills and combine them with the work of friends and organizations throughout the community to promote a better quality of life for our senior and disabled members."

As the head of Community Outreach, Anne Chipchase brings over 30 years of experience in communications and community relations to `Ohana. In her current role, Ms. Chipchase oversees marketing, promotional initiatives and community programs to promote company relations that help enhance the quality of life for the senior and disabled Medicaid population of Hawai`i.

Wendy Morriarty
Market Director, `Ohana Health Plan

"As the primary caregiver to my disabled mother, the 'Ohana model is very personal to me.  The health care system can be extremely difficult to navigate. The 'Ohana health plan will support the member and their caregivers through our system of service coordination.  This system integrates medical, behavioral and social needs of our membership, which I believe is the best way to positively impact the health and wellness of our community."

Wendy Morriarty brings over a decade of hospital administration and managed care experience to her role as the 'Ohana Health Plan market director for the Big Island.  As the market director, Ms. Morriarty provides oversight and leadership for Hawai`i Island's local provider network, provider relations team and community outreach program.

Dexter D. Mar, R.P.H., PharmD, M.B.A.
Director of Pharmacy, `Ohana Health Plan

"Having lived and practiced in Hawai'i for 19 years, I'm pleased to be part of a team dedicated to improving services to our most medically needy.  Medication needs are a crucial part of the care of our members and 'Ohana Health Plan must ensure the safe, effective and appropriate use of medicines as an integrated part of care."

Dr. Mar brings 40 years of health care experience and more than 20 years of managerial experience to 'Ohana Health Plan.  As director of clinical pharmacy, his responsibilities include formulary management, pharmacy network and medication management.

Prior to joining 'Ohana, Dr. Mar served in various clinical, teaching and managerial positions at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii; Intelligent Medicine, Inc.; CBS Electronic Medical Publishing; New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center; and Long Island University's College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Mar received his Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Pharmacy degrees from the University of the Pacific.  He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University, and a post-doctoral fellowship certificate in medical informatics from the Stanford University School of Medicine and is licensed to practice pharmacy in Hawai'i.  He is a member of the Hawaii Pharmacists Association and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy.  He has also been a Special Olympics Hawai'i coach for 10 years.

Linda Morrison
Senior Director of Operations,`Ohana Health Plan

As the Senior Director of Operations, Ms. Morrison provides oversight and direction for 'Ohana's Information Technology, Customer Service and Provider Relations teams. She also ensures operational delivery from all functional areas.

For the past 20 years, Ms. Morrison has worked in various customer service and operations roles. Prior to joining 'Ohana Health Plan, she worked at Sitel Corporation as a site director providing management oversight for a 500-position inbound customer care center.

Letty Lian-Segawa, R.N.

"I've been blessed to work with a group of passionate leaders and staff who truly want to be here to help those who need it the most. I'm passionate about the area of Quality and ensuring patient safety for our members and that we provide care to meet their medical needs using evidence based clinical guidelines. "

In her current position, Ms. Lian-Segawa provides oversight of 'Ohana's quality management and quality improvement initiatives for the organization.  The main goal of this functional area is to ensure that accreditation standards are met and clinical guidelines are established to ensure quality of care to our members. She has oversight of 'Ohana's utilization management staff, and she most recently assumed oversight of 'Ohana's service coordination program, which includes more than 50 clinicians who are deployed throughout Hawai'i. thie group performs health and functional assessments as well as establishes care plans for our members.

Prior to joining 'Ohana, Ms. Lian-Segawa had her own consulting business that assisted hospitals with joint commission accreditation.   Prior to that, she served in various roles at several large Oahu hospitals and health plans as a patient safety officer, director of quality management, and director of utilization management. Ms. Lian-Segawa is also a licensed registered nurse.
