Carolyn Saiki brings over 19 years of human resources experience to her role as the `Ohana Director of Human Resources. In this position, Ms. Saiki provides human resources leadership to support and facilitate associate recruiting, retention and development. She also provides guidance and motivation to help staff achieve organizational goals.
Prior to joining `Ohana Ms. Saiki developed and directed the Human Resources functions at Blockbuster, including recruiting, hiring, benefits, compensation and employee relations. She was responsible for approximately 300 employees in Hawai`i, Guam and Saipan. Prior to that, she spent over ten years managing the Human Resources department for AT&T Hawaii, which consisted of a 200-person telemarketing, distribution service and consumer sales operation.
Ms. Saiki is a lifetime resident of Hawai`i. She received a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa and a Master of Business Administration in Global Management from the University of Phoenix in Honolulu. She is also a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) at both state and national levels.
