Rida Ching brings over 20 years of management experience in medical social services to her role as the `Ohana manager of service coordination. In this position, Ms. Ching assumes responsibility for coordination of member services and provides oversight and leadership for the `Ohana team assigned to help members with plan management.  

Prior to joining `Ohana, Ms. Ching was the manager for Community Programs and Medical Social Services at Kaiser Permanente. While at Kaiser Permanente, she also served as a supervisor of medical social services and a medical social worker. These leadership roles were in hospital, long-term care and community-based settings. Through these positions, she has garnered experience in management of community programs and medical social services as well as dedication to recruiting and retaining skilled, passionate staff.

Ms. Ching is a lifetime resident of Hawai`i and an alumna of Moanalua High School. She received a bachelor's in psychology from the University of Hawai`i, West Oahu Campus and a master's with a social work health concentration from the University of Hawai`i at Manoa. She also earned a Master of Business Administration/Health Care Management degree from the University of Phoenix in Honolulu. Ms. Ching is affiliated with the American Case Management Association, the Hawai`i chapter of the National Association of Social Workers and the Society of Social Work Leadership in Healthcare. She has also been active in several community programs including the Hawai`i chapter of the Autism Society of America, the Developmental Disabilities Division of Hawai`i, the Special Olympics of Hawai`i and the Hawai`i Alliance of Non-Profit Organizations.

Our philosophy is to place members and their families at the center of the health care continuum. Each of our members is matched with an 'Ohana service coordinator who works directly with our members and multi-disciplined health care team.
